Susan Wise Bauer

Susan Wise Bauer has published numerous books, including the Story of the World series and The Well-Educated Mind which Publisher's Weekly described as "a brilliant guide" and "a timeless, intelligent book." Along with her mother, Jessie Wise, Susan also wrote The Well-Trained Mind and The History of the Ancient World, the first in a four-volume series.

She teaches English at the College of William & Mary, and lives in Virginia with her husband and four children.
