The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent condition, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. Little Philippe lived on a farm just out- side of Brussels and every day he drove his dog cart filled with vegetables into the city to sell in the market place. It was a quiet, happy life but a hum-drum one and little Philippe longed to undertake a life of travel, adventure and excitement.

Then one day he met the tall, dark man and the little girl with the frightened eyes who set up a stand next to his in the market place. They were a mysterious pair, Tom and Zelie, and they told Philippe of the happy life he could follow with them wandering about the country singing songs and playing the organ on wheels. One day they disappeared and a while later Philippe set out to find them against the wishes of his parents. How he wandered about over Belgium from city to city until he found them, how Philippe learned the truth about Tom and Zelie, and how he had a thrilling adventure in the weird Cave of the Crows on the road between Namur and Dinant is all told in this book which tells you about the beautiful country of Belgium in a fascinating story.
