The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent condition, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

Italy! When you hear the word do you think of beautiful paintings and music? Of organ grinders, macaroni and marionettes?

Something is told of all of these—and much more—in this fascinating story of Italian life. Little Tony, an orphan raised in the crowded streets of Naples, falls in love with Tina, the marionette man's dog. In order always to be with her, Little Tony works in the marionette theatre. But alas, Tina does not really belong to the marionette man. The wicked Guido had stolen her! One day pretty little Anna, Tina's real owner, appears with her father and takes the dog away. But do not think Tony will be separated from his little friend so easily! He follows Tina to Anna's beautiful home.

And it is Tina who brings Tony good fortune in the end, for when the boy is discovered, Anna's kind mother and father take him into their home—to live with Tina and Anna always.
