We're very excited to offer titles from SeaWolf Press, who publish over 400 books in their Illustrated Classics collection. Enjoy classic books from authors like Jack London, Mark Twain, Louisa May Alcott, Robert Louis Stevenson, H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, Jane Austen, L. Frank Baum, Charles Dickens, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Edgar Allan Poe, Ann Sewell, William Shakespeare, and more.

These are not photocopy versions of old books but rather newly formatted editions that contain the text and illustrations from the first or early edition. Most also have the original cover from the first edition, or from beautiful paintings. The text has been properly formatted with an easy-to-read font similar to that used more than 100 years ago. Use Amazon's Lookinside feature to compare these editions with others. You'll be impressed by the differences. Versions of these classics available from other publishers often have oversize pages, no paragraph indents, no illustrations, or very tiny print.

Seawolf wants you to feel like you're reading the book 100 years or more ago when it was fresh off the press.

These are print-on-demand books, which in the past we would have avoided, but the quality has gotten much better in recent years, and the technology has been amazing to open up options to carry many books that have long been out-of-print. Seawolf offers both hard and softcover versions; we've opted to carry the soft for affordability reasons, but we would be happy to special-order hardcover titles. (Note that we have yet to see a hardcover, so we're not as sure of the binding quality on those.)
