The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent condition, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!
*This copy is in good used condition. The binding is sound with no loose pages. The cover has some wear and various small spots where the color is rubbed, mainly along the cloth grain. Church library copy with pocket and due date slip inside the back cover, and stamps. Also a bookplate inside the front cover and a newspaper article pasted on the FFEP dated 1931 containing 2 book reviews of a different Lincoln biography.
This was the first biography of Lincoln published after his assassination and sold well. The author was a well-known Universalist preacher who advocated for universal suffrage and women's rights, and was the first woman appointed as chaplain to the Connecticut General Assembly.
