Originally subtitled God's War Against Humanism, in this book, Rev. Jordan examines the stories within the book of Judges, unpacking the material and answering questions as to their theological and practical meaning. Organizing the book into a series of cycles, he demonstrates that God commands to his people to do certain things, and their obedience (or disobedience) is evaluated and blessed (or judged). These stories reveal much about human nature, and also much about the work of Christ and His Church. Jordan demonstrates again and again that God really is in control. If you're pessimistic about what the future holds, you really ought to read this book! It's incredibly encouraging.
