A Sea Trip in Clipper Ship Days is a delightfully written classic that describes the journey of two young people as they leave their England home for America. Written by Mary Matthews Bray this work represents an account of the author's own voyage from Liverpool to New York City on the ship “Captain Beechy” via Rio de Janeiro, Cape of Good Hope and Melbourne to join her brother who had already made his fortune in California gold fields. This is an absolute must read for all sea-farers including those with an interest in travel, early America and historical fiction.
