During the early years of Exodus, there were a lot of Christian bookstores in the Portland area, so we carved out a niche by focusing on areas in which we were different: Calvinistic theology, postmillenial eschatology, a focus on God's law, presuppositional apologetics, etc. As time has gone on, however, most of those bookstores have disappeared, we've matured (I hope) and seen that our focus must change to prioritize the center of the Christian faith—the Gospel—and how Jesus reaches into the lives of those around us.
New Growth Press fits in well with that focus, publishing gospel-centered and Bible-based materials that empower individuals, families, and churches to grow in their love for God, their love for others, and their ability to bring healing and hope to the world. Their books address everyday life issues people encounter and cover a broad range of counseling issues, including addiction, sexual struggles, personal growth, and more.
NGP publishes material from Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF), Serge (formerly World Harvest Mission), Faith Biblical Counseling, Harvest USA, and World Reformed Fellowship as well as other authors that share a gospel-centered focus. Suitable for pastors, counselors, families and individuals, their products include books, minibooks, small group resources, church curriculum, children's resources, ebooks, digital downloads, and audio resources that encourage personal, spiritual, and community growth.
