The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

One of the most thrilling stories and some of the richest music contained in an opera are to be found in LOHENGRIN. And in this presentation all the drama of the narrative and the most vital and beautiful themes are embodied.

Based on a romantic old legend, the story tells of the wicked Princess Ortrud; of Gottfried whom she turned into a swan; of his lovely sister Elsa accused of murdering him; and of Lohengrin the splendid knight who appears to champion Elsa.

The poetic beauty and dramatic power of this magnificent opera makes it one of the greatest dramas of all time.
