The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

Based on a favorite nursery legend, Haensel and Gretel, with its delightfully refreshing, heart-gladdening music, is one of the most popular and best-loved of all operas.

All the charm of simple wonder surrounds this tale of two children lost in the woods who come upon a little house whose walls and roofs are made of cake and sweets and whose fence is made of gingerbread. Alas, the house is owned by a wicked old witch who tries to bake Haensel in a large oven...

The tale is delightfully told with simple text and colorful pictures and many of the lovely musical themes are included.
