Every moment of their lives is filled with suspense or danger: landslides, snowslides, mountain lion, bear, wolf, and now the most frightening horseflesh hunter of all—the airplane with its screaming siren.
This is an epic about a horse as horse: the animal himself, in his original state, with man appearing only as another enemy. If you like horses you will be moved as seldom before, because of Glen Round's special way of telling a story. His words seem to have come from the hearts of horses themselves. And what words can't say his drawings tell, vivid with action in every stroke.
