From the book:

It was in Yorktonw, Virginia, on October 19, 1781 that Lord Cornwallis surrendered his British Army to an allied French and American Army force under George Washington.  This momentous occasion marked the climax of the American Revolution, which made the United States a free and independent nation.

Bugle is a picture story for young children of an adventure in Yorktown during those history-making days.

This copy is in good condition except for an inscription on the title page and a little rubbing on the bottom of the cover.
