Aborted Women: Silent No More examines the abortion experience from the viewpoint of women who have had abortions and now regret them.  It challenges the belief that abortion is ever a good choice for women with problem pregnancies.  It is never safe, never easy.

In the foreword, Nancyjo Mann, founder of WEBA (Women Exploited By Abortion), describes her own abortion experience and the devastation it brought to her life.  David Reardon tells the results of his survey of 252 WEBA members who recount the short and long-term impact of abortion on their lives.

Following each chapter are firsthand accounts by women who have had abortions describing how they came to the abortion decision, the abortion experience itself, what aftereffects they had and how they later came to reconcile themselves to what they did.

The stories demonstrate that abortion is almost never a "free choice," but that women are forced into abortions by boyfriends, husbands, parents, and even by doctors and social workers.  Evidence shows that the choice to abort is an act of despair in a society that does not offer more positive solutions to problem pregnancies.  The testimonies also demonstrate that women are not adequately counseled about the risks and aftereffects of abortion.

Written for the lay person, this book is a major synthesis of available data on the physical and psychological effects of abortion.  It also examines the abortion industry and documents the greed and callousness of those who pretend to be "helping" women.  (from the dust jacket)
