William Sharp

William Sharp came to America in the early 1930's, his fame already established as an artist and illustrator. Here, too, acclaim was instantaneous. His etchings are in many collections, including the Library of Congress and Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh. Among his finest illustrations are those for The Diary of Samuel Pepys, The Works of Edgar Allen Poe, The Brothers Karamazov and Wilkie Collins's The Moonstone.
