This student workbook to accompany Sketches from Church History by S.M. Houghton was designed by Rebecca Frawley specifically to help tranform the main text into a high school overview for homeschool families. Charts, maps, timelines and essay topic ideas lend depth, while short answer questions for each of the book's 50 chapters help kids think about the content. There are also three tests, and answers for all written work and tests.
Frawley's workbook is spiralbound, making it easy for kids to record their answers directly on the pages. It isn't necessary to use the workbook with Houghton's text, but especially for students it will doubtless make reading his book more fruitful. Parents will want to be in charge of checking students' work, but ultimately this is a student-led program ideal for mature middle schoolers or high school students of any level.
