During one of his several adventurous voyages in the 1600's an English sailor becomes the sole survivor of a shipwreck and lives for nearly thirty years on a deserted island. This popular Junior Deluxe Edition, featuring Fritz Kredel's elegant illustrations, is part of a large, collectible series, but is one of the more edited versions of Robinson Crusoe meant for children, with large sections cut from the text. However, it does include a summarized account of Crusoe's adventures after arriving back in England. Doubleday published a slightly better quality, unabridged version, also with Kredel's illustrations (but more of them)—which also includes The Further Adventures of Robinson Crusoe!

Used copies may not have a dust jacket.
