Pete's a Pizza

Pete's a Pizza

Board Book, 32 pages

It's raining outside and Pete's blue. His parents want to cheer him up, but how? Aha! They decide to make him a yummy pizza. That is, make him into a yummy pizza. So begins Pete's career as a lump of pizza dough. His greatest challenge? The fact that pizzas aren't supposed to laugh.

My sisters and I read this adorable book growing up and it inspired many hours of our own "pizza making." It's a sweet and funny story with a touch of suspense—after all, as a child you're not entirely sure the parents won't actually eat Pete... until the end. Highly recommended!

Lauren Shearer writes words for fun and profit. She also makes films, but everyone knows you can't make a profit doing that. Her other hobby is consistently volunteering way too much of her time. You can read more of her reviews here.
