Because of my obsession with Robinson Crusoe a few years, I decided this book belonged in my library. Presented as a newly-discovered sketchbook by RC himself, the book portrays many scenes and documents many of the tools and methods used during Crusoe's extended stay on his island. It feels like a Sloane or Tunis book and will make a magnificent extra when the kids read the novel.
Based on Defoe's 1719 novel, the journal text is by Anie Politzer, drawings by Michael Politzer, originally printed in France in 1972, translated and published in the U.S. in 1974.
