The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!
*This copy has red flexible boards cut flush with the text, with title stamped in yellow. It is in good readable condition, but has obviously seen some use. The cover has some staining and the printing is faded. The spine is creased and the front cover is beginning to separate, about 1" at the base.
The story of the voyage of Captain William Hawkins' ship Hector to India, told through the eyes of fifteen-year-old Nicky Fowler. In order to escape the heavy hand of a father who has already determined Nicky's future and won't allow him to choose for himself, he signs on with Captain Hawkins to go to India as a clerk.
