Seikei is a young boy who dreams of becoming a legendary samurai warrior. But Seikei is a son of a tea merchant and must take up his father’s trade. When the theft of a precious ruby forces Seikei to become the assistant of Judge Ooka, a samurai magistrate, Seikei begins following a trail of a man whose history is shrouded in mystery. Slowly the tale of the man is played out and Seikei learns the true essence of a samurai.
