In this book author Dean Lambert has compiled fifty devotions for both children and adults that will enable individuals and families to engage in a more meaningful celebration of the Christmas season.  The Advent Jesse Tree begins on the first day of December with the creation story and ends on Christmas Day, the day Christians celebrate that God's purpose is finally revealed in the coming of the Savior, Jesus Christ.  Each devotion traces the heritage of Jesus through the stories and prophecies of the Old Testament.  In additions to these devotions, this book contains illustrations of the Advent season symbols which may be used to create a special "Christmas Tree."  Each of the twenty-five days has prayers, a memory verse, questions for children, and hymns or songs to coincide with the symbol for the day.

The book will enable a daily participation that will help each family member to more fully understand the mystery of the Old Testament as it is slowly revealed and explained in the coming of the Christ Child.  These devotions will allow families to share the true meaning of Christmas during the Advent season.
