This reader doesn't look like much, with illustrations that we don't find especially compelling (1965 and earlier versions are more attractive)—but it includes some excellent authors that are often hard-to-find, including Wanda Gag, Carolyn Haywood, Mabel Leigh Hunt, Marion Holland, and Herbert Zim, among others. Meant for students around 2nd-4th grade.
