A Note From the Publisher of The Heritage Reprints
This series of books has been made necessary by the governments"s wartime regulation that, whenever a book is reprinted, less paper must be used in the reprint. Originally, this edition of this great work was prepared for private distribution to the subscribing members of The Heritage Club: and only a limited number of copies was sold to the general public. A continued demand for a reprint, from the general public, has brought this reprint into existence; and this reprint is different from the original edition in compliance with the government's desire to conserve paper and other materials.
