Math Games & Activities

These are fun math books (yes, "fun" and "math" can coexist within the same sentence). One of the most attractive elements of most of them is that they aren't curricula or self-consciously "educational." Don't get us wrong—your kids will learn plenty from these books, but there's a good chance they won't even realize they're learning as they read. Sometimes it's easy to assume we don't like a subject when we don't really understand it or know anything about it; before you decide you hate math forever, we recommend you check out some of these titles.

Review by C. Hollis Crossman
C. Hollis Crossman used to be a child. Now he is a husband and father, teaches adult Sunday school in his Presbyterian congregation, and likes weird stuff. He might be a mythical creature, but he's definitely not a centaur.Read more of his reviews here.
