The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent condition, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

Dick lived in Northern Minnesota and the great woods and many lakes were as much home to him as his father's comfortable fireside. Sportsmen came often for the hunting and fishing and Dick had proved himself a good guide. The story centers on Dick's determined efforts to earn enough money to buy himself a bicycle—an effort which takes him to Duluth where he finds, not the job he was seeking, but an exciting adventure.

This story of Dick, his younger brother Lawrence, and Little Susan with her delightful pets, presents a vivid picture of the magnificent north country with its wooded hills and beautiful lakes. Illustrated with a profusion of photographs taken by the author, this delightful story will bring to children a real appreciation of the great wealth and beauty of our country.
