The author of this book spent a year in East Africa, "the land of the great herds," studying the animal world with photographer Gunter Ziesler. They observed lions living in the wild, and photographed them from their mobile blind, a VW camping bus.
This photographic picture book brings the reader into direct contact with the "King of the Beasts." We see the lions hunting their prey, living as a family, and lovingly rearing their cubs.
