Bob Books have become almost a staple tool for children just learning to read. These books are sold in many outlets nationwide, and they are available all over the world. Now Maslen lets Scholastic, Inc. market and publish the books, and his eldest daughter manages the family business while he concentrates on his artwork. Several of his paintings can be seen at the Portland Art Museum.
