Some days it doesn't pay to get up. Some days you can't do anything right. That's just how it was for Sam –from the moment he put his shoes on the wrong feet, to the telling-off from his teacher. How Sam did his best to turn the tide of misfortune so that "it didn't look like such a bad day after all," will be read with great enjoyment by those who never have days like that (are there any?) as well as by those who do.
Syd Hoff's lively pictures are the perfect complement to the droll humor of the story.
