The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!
This copy is clean, but webbing is showing in both front and back hinge. Back cover has scratched spot at the top, and bottom of spine has a faded spot. Gift inscription on flyleaf dated Christmas 1944.
Summary from inside the book:
"This is the story of a plucky American family which, during a housing shortage, made its home in a merry-go-round. The Sloans' difficulties in a strange place and how they won through made others realize that true American resourcefulness is alive today as ever."
