Diversity & Multicultural Books

The word "multicultural" has plenty of politically-correct baggage. We've understood it for years as a derivative of moral relativism and racism—basically nothing more than anti-Western culture and anti-capitalism. And as such, we've entirely avoided the idea of promoting it. But we have absolutely nothing against other cultures, per se, and think it's very important for us and our children to be introduced to them.

So, in that sense—very simply as an introduction to the people and cultures around the world—we offer "multicultural books." While there are plenty of books that depict life in France, or Brazil, or South Africa, specifically, those are not the sort of books that you'll find here. All the books contained herein are much more broad, focusing on the wonderful diversity of people...and their food, culture, homes, stories, etc. from around the world.
