This is the advanced biology course from Apologia. Combined with Exploring Creation With Biology, it gives the student the equivalent of a university biology course. In other words, these two courses together cover the entire "advanced placement" (AP) curriculum. In order to take this course, the student must have completed a first-year biology course and a first-year chemistry course. It covers both the anatomy and the physiology of the human body's 11 organ systems in detail. If you are at all concerned, the reproductive system is covered in detail, including frank (though not pornographic) illustrations and descriptions.
This kit is comprised of three pieces. The hardbound text contains all student material, on-your-own questions and solutions, laboratory exercises, and chapter study guides. The Solutions and tests Manual, softbound, offers the answers to chapter study guides, tests, and test solutions. The third piece is the CD-ROM companion, which includes videos of some of the experiments, animations, and pronunciations of previously unknown words.
