The jingling ox chains and mule harnesses are silent, the creaking wagon wheels roll no more –but over a century after the Santa Fe Trail was abandoned, there is still interest in this historic road between Missouri and New Mexico.
This activity book is designed to help kids and teachers study different aspects of the Trail. Each section includes an information article along with one or more related activity pages. Activities are based on a variety of skills and can be completed by individuals or groups, depending on students' abilities and grade levels.
