Building on the cursive foundation laid in earlier grades, Writing with Creativity 5 begins with an emphasis on cursive. Penmanship practice continues with weekly Wonders of Creativity pages that focus on letter formation, spacing, letter size, and overall neatness. Writing skills are developed by applying the writing process through a variety of themed assignments that build research skills, organize thoughts with graphic organizers, and equip students to write multi-paragraph essays. Students develop creativity through projects such as narratives, poetry, media literacy, and more.
