  Interesting but Not Amazing
Mystie Winckler of WA, 10/11/2011
The bulk of the book is on personality/temperament, but there is also a section on learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic), on multiple intelligences, and then on how environmental factors influence different people differently. Then there is a section on different ways these can combine and how parents (mostly emphasizing conventional schools, not homeschooling) can use the information to help their children learn better and more efficiently.

It was interesting, not ground-breaking, a decent introduction to the topic. It was a good reminder to treat each person as an individual and not assume that what works for one will work for another, or the way you do things is the only or the best way to do it.
Not My Favorite Book on Learning Styles
Albanyaloe of South Africa, 6/10/2011
This is the gold standard reference book for homeschooler's about Learning Styles. However, contrary to popular reviews, I found it a difficult read. It was difficult to get into the book and I found the authors' classification of the various learning styles confusing and not clear cut. I had hoped the book would make it less complex. I have found other resources that are more useful for my circumstances. A more simple break down, some examples of curriculum to use and more practical tips would have been just up my street.
