Boris may seem tough like any other pirate. He’s greedy. He’s scary. He’s fearless. But even pirates might have vulnerable hearts buried underneath their toughness, for when Boris’ parrot dies, Boris cries. And cries.
All pirates cry.
Though the text focuses on Boris, the colorful illustrations tell another story alongside that is left to the imagination of the reader to find out. Both vivacious and touching, this story is a delight to read.
