This 32 page book is jam-packed with information on the Mount Rushmore National Monument. It tells about the life of the creator, Gutzon Borglum, why he selected the Black Hills of South Dakota for the sculpture, and the sheer enormity of the project. Geared for ages 9-11, grades 4-6, it includes both color and black & white photographs, a glossary, and a timeline of the events surrounding the building of the monument. Nicely laid out and interesting.
