Sonlight Science

Sonlight has created a series of science courses from preschool through highschool using collected science reference books, textbooks, literature and supplies. They have created their own teacher guides/schedules, which we do not carry; and assembled supply kits, which we sometimes have used. Theyhave also produced the fun and fact-filled DVD series "Discover & Do," which we offer used when we can.

  • Science P4/5 - Preschool: Plants, Animals, and Machines
  • Science A - Kindergarten: Biology, Botany & Physics
  • Science B - 1st Grade: Animals, Astronomy & Physics
  • Science C - 2nd Grade: Geology, Meteorology & Mechanical Technology
  • Science D - 3rd Grade: Biology, Taxonomy & Human Anatomy
  • Science E- 4th Grade: Electricity, Magnetism & Astronomy
  • Science F - 5th Grade: Health, Medicine & Human Anatomy
  • Science G- 6th Grade: Geology, Physics & Origins

Starting at Level H (7th Grade), the Sonlight Science relies heavily on the Apologia Science texts. For each level they offer a schedule and supply kits. As Apologia is pretty easy to figure out, we consider the schedules unnecessary. The supply kits are nice, but the supplies can be obtained from a variety of sources, including our favorite: Nature's Workshop Plus.

Please Note: Sonlight Curriculum does not sell their materials to Exodus Books. We carry many of the same titles, and are often able to obtain used copies of books they publish. The following is culled from their 2013 websiteand includes much of their selection, though it is not comprehensive, nor is it in any sort of curricular order. For a complete listing, visit the Sonlight Curriculum website.
