Did you ever sing the folk song "Barbary Allen" or "Big Rock Candy Mountain"? Everyone in the Marvell family loved these mountain songs and all six boys could sing them beautifully except Absolom, the youngest. He made up songs, but sang them only to his pet coon, named Barbary Allen.
