The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

The steel-gray husky Chiri was just a puppy when he watched the black wolf kill his mother and two brothers. Left alone in the snow-covered land of the coyote, caribou, and grizzly, Chiri learned to fend for himself, to hunt and to survive by his keen instinct and natural intelligence. Now grown and full of courage and cunning, Chiri forms a tentative bond with trapper Link Stevens, the only human he's ever learned to trust. But the husky knows that one day soon he will have to face the black wolf again—and this time only one of them will survive.

Please note that most used copies we get do not include the dust jackets, and will often look like the cloth cover to the left.
