The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

This copy is ex-library with typical stamps and due date slip.  Pocket has been removed, with some damage to the front endpaper.  No dust jacket; book summary flap has been glued in facing the half-title page. Binding is solid and pages are clean.  Good reading copy.

From the dust jacket:

Ed Herrick and his cousin Priscilla loathed each other on sight. So the prospect of two weeks together at Camp Hancock in Oregon made both of them, in a word, sick. Ed, a dedicated rock hound, didn't want a droopy girl tagging along on the camp's wonderful field trips. And Priscilla, anything but science-minded, thought collecting rocks sounded boring and just the sort of thing a dull rude boy like Ed would enjoy.

So things went very badly until Priscilla began to turn into a rock hound and then stumbled on an A-1 western mystery, as melodramatic as anything she'd seen on TV back home in New York. Ed became a co-sleuth, and events moved rapidly in a story that is sure to appeal to both rock hounds and mystery fans.

Evelyn Sibley Lampman, who lives in Oregon, knows all about Camp Hancock (a real place) and rock collecting. She is the author of Rusty's Space Ship (see the back flap) and many other books.
