Rockwell earned his bachelor's degree from Illinois State University, his master's degree from Western Illinois University, and his Ph.D. from St. Louis University. He is a Professor Emeritus and a former program director of early childhood education. This teacher, administrator, and author has worked with preschools, elementary schools, and colleges. Today he is a much sought-after keynote speaker who still teaches at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
