This "White" edition replaces the now out of print "purple" edition.
Kindergarten teaches manuscript handwriting in a nicely laid-out and colorful book. The student practices circles, lines, and waves at different angles before moving on to actual letters. It doesn't assume much motor control, and the letters are practiced on dotted lines measuring 1 1/4" tall. The previous edition taught through the entire alphabet in 52 two-page lessons starting with lowercase and moving to uppercase midway through the book. This one instead offers 33 weeks of 5 one-page lessons, with review sections after every fifth day. The first twelve weeks are devoted to lower case; weeks 13 and beyond teach uppercase and include review. Instead of alternating one page of practice with a coloring page, the coloring sections are reduced in size and included in the lesson (not all lessons include coloring). Unlike the previous edition of this book, it does include Bible verses, though kids only fill in the letters learned up to that point.
