Randall A. Reinstedt was born and raised on California's beautiful and historic Montery Penisula. After traveling widely throughout the world, he spent fifteen years teaching elementary school students, with the special emphasis on California and local history. Today he continues to share his love of California's beauty and lore with young and old alike through his immensely popular publications.
Randy lives with his wife, Debbie, in a house overlooking the pacific ocean. In addition to his writing projects, he is in great demand as a lecturer on regional history to school and adult groups, and he frequently gives workshops for teachers on making history come alive in the classroom.
