Our Honest Opinion:
We appreciate what Veritas is doing with this first set of ten readers, but we can sympathize with complaints we've heard from a number of customers. Basically, the problem is this: if you're using only very simple words, it's difficult to tell a complicated story. As a result, the first few kindergarten readers come across as confusing, or poorly written (see short samples of the text by clicking on any of the titles below). However, we believe this problem is limited to the first six or seven readers and that the Veritas readers improve greatly inthe first grade. Don't write the program off!
