Someone is planning to kill George Washington and Phoebe Fraunces is trying to save his life. Disguised as Washington's housekeeper, Phoebe will work as a spy. She must listen and watch carefully and meet her father every day at the market to tell him what she has learned. One day when Phoebe goes to meet her father, he looks concerned.
