Philip Graham Ryken

A graduate of Wheaton College with a bachelor's degree, Ryken went on to earn his master's of divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary and his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Oxford.  He married his wife in 1987 and in September of 1995 he joined the staff at the 10th Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania.  Founded in 1828, the church is rich in history, having held their first services in December 1829 when Andrew Jackson was president.  Since 2000 Ryken has held the senior pastor position.  As well as a preacher, Ryken has penned over 25 books, including 1 Timothy, Reformed Expository Commentary.  He continues to pastor, write, read, and enjoy life with his family in Philadelphia.
