Born on July 3, 1978, the first child of eight children, Roise first entered school but was then home schooled. He later graduated with a bachelor's degree from New St. Andrews College in Idaho and is studying for the ministry at Greyfriars Hall. Occasionally Roise has taught in a standard classroom, but much of his teaching for over seven years has been as an online tutor for Studium Discere Online Tutorials. As an author Roise has published both a rhetoric and a logic textbook. With his wife Claire he plans to co-author children's books, and in his spare time Roise is an amateur photographer.
