Oregon is...
a little bit of everything. Within its borders are mountains, gentle valleys, caves, old-growth forests, wild rivers, glorious beaches, and deserts. Native Americans, white and black Americans, and immigrants from Asia and Latin America meet and mingle here. Farms and orchards share the landscape with fast-growing cities and high-technology industries, but wilderness remains close at hand. Oregonians believe that everyone else secretly wants to be in Oregon. Maybe they're right.
