This unit will introduce you to the properties of Earth's atmosphere and how atmospheric systems interact. You will learn the atmosphere's layers and gases and will study key concepts such as the Greenhouse Effect, the ozone layer, and the Coriolis effect. You will also explore weather systems and the tools used to track and measure those systems.
The unit ends with a discussion of stewardship of the Earth as it relates to the air and atmosphere. The final project asks you to consider how you can create a sustainable environment — with minimal long-term, negative effects — by designing a sustainable city.
