The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

From the dust jacket:

Molly felt she was no ordinary little girl, for she had eight brothers and sisters. Being the middle child made her something special, even though it did mean she had to be responsible for Edward, who liked to dawdle and was sometimes absent-minded. Sometimes Edward was a great trial to Molly; it was hard to find peace and quiet with him around. Who  else would think of hiding behind a waterfall to keep dry during a thunderstorm? Who else would leave her stranded in an apple tree with no one to help her get down? Then one day Edward disappeared, and by the time he was found again, Molly was so glad to see him that she was not sure she wanted peace and quiet after all.

Because Miss Lattimore understands the minds and hearts of children everywhere, her books have been popular with young readers for many years. In this warmhearted story, set in a New Hampshire village, she has again drawn a gentle but incisive picture of happy family life.
